The ACADIE-BATHURST Health Authority’s (ABHA) Organ and Tissue Donation Advisory Committee ensures the planning of the Regional Organ and Tissue Donation Program, in accordance with the New Brunswick Organ and Tissue Procurement Program guidelines.
The committee’s responsibilities include the approval of policies, procedures, the operations protocol, and the Quality Improvement and Risk Management Program. The committee is also mandated to approve various tools used to maintain up-to-date statistics, as well as the information plan for the staff and the public.
The Organ and Tissue Donation Advisory Committee reports to the Chief Nursing Officer. Committee members meet every three months and when necessary.
