Health Records - Chaleur Regional Hospital - Bathurst
Job Summary:
Under the authority of the Health Records Department Manager, the employee will perform advanced technical work in the field of the health records management.
Requirements:
- Health Information Management diploma from a recognized program and current registration with the Canadian Health Information Management Association; (CHIMA);
- Active member of the Canadian Health Information Management Association or eligible for membership;
- Willingness to become an active member of the New Brunswick Health Information Management Assocation;
- Experience working in a Health Records Department considered an asset;
- Knowledge of acts and regulations applicable to release of information;
- Experience using Meditech patient documentation system an asset;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs;
- Ability to read, understand, speak and write in both English and French;
- Ability to manage significant workloads and meet established deadlines with minimal supervision;
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication and presentation skills;
- Initiative and sound judgment;
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, pharmacology and surgical and medical procedures.
